JONATHAN SMITH

Jonathan graduated in 2007 with a degree in  Construction Management from Anglia Ruskin University. Upon completion of his studies he returned to the family business working closely with the Estimating and Surveying Department gaining industry experience on a varied mix of projects.

Jonathan became a director of H Smith & Sons (Honingham) Ltd in 2013 and oversees the operation of the Estimating, Surveying and Purchasing departments whilst also working with the other directors to set company strategy. Jonathan has maintained a keen interest in the environmental performance of buildings and has held registrations as both an EcoHomes and Code for Sustainable Homes Assessor, and continues to undertake On Construction Domestic Energy Assessments.

Jonathan is currently the Chairman of the Norwich Building Safety Group, a local not for profit organisation providing both health and safety advice and inspections to local building contractors and sub contractors. Smith of Honingham undertake most types of construction project, including affordable housing, works to listed buildings, bespoke residential dwellings, commercial, industrial, education and local authority projects. The family business was established in 1919 by Jonathan’s great grandfather, and this year they have been pleased to celebrate 100 years of building in Norfolk and North Suffolk.
